Scott Harris, the owner and operator of Mountain Madness, started the climbing school in 1986 and is an honors graduate of Texas A&M.  Not only is he the most experienced climbing instructor in the United States but nearly every guide in central Texas has been trained by Scott or trained by someone that Scott trained.  John Conner, our Head Guide, served as a Marine officer from 1995- 2000, after which he earned his Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering from UT-Austin.  John is an AMGA Site Manager, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and Wilderness First Responder certified, and is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association.  Scott and John run all of the classes for Mountain Madness.
